The Lovely Zeus

History tells us that honeycomb stitch originates from the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland, where it was developed in the early 1900s as part of traditional Aran knitting.
The stitch apparently symbolizes hard work and dedication, inspired by the industriousness of bees.

Busy Tuesday!

What a busy day! Full house for Craft Club in the morning, and enthusiastic peg loomers in Ards Arts Centre in the evening.
Kiri Cottage Crafts Club Possible Regular Feature

I have followed, and supported, Paddy for a number of years now and am delighted to say this harness weaving will most likely be a regular feature of the brand new Crafts Club!
Kiri Cottage Crafts Club First Meeting

The first get-together of the Kiri Cottage Crafts Club meets on Tuesday 24th October 2023 from 6pm to 9pm at my workshop located between Kircubbin and Portaferry Co Down, Northern Ireland.
Bring what you are working on, or something you are ‘stuck’ with, or just come along to learn something new. If you can’t make the full 3 hours, just drop in when you can.
There is no fee – just a donation to our chosen charity: Equine Halfway House Rescue and Refuge, based in Lisburn.
Drop in for as long as you can for tea, coffee, buns and craic!
