Portavogie and Ballywalter Senior Clubs

Ards and North Down City Council has recently acquired grant funding for arts and crafts workshops for seniors’ groups within the Council area. 

I have been commissioned to provide a number of craft sessions for both Portavogie and Ballywalter senior clubs. The first of these workshops ran this week with a lovely group of ladies in Portavogie.

They were interested in learning to make rag rugs, so we used peg looms to make small samples, to show how they could be made. Next month we are going to use a latch tool and create a different style of rug using a hessian backing.
