Gift Vouchers are now available to purchase! These are tailor made for the crafter in your life, for any amount, and valid for 12 months. They can be applied against any of my 2023 workshops already planned, or specially requested by you.

Did you know craft workshops can make great opportunities to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, even just friendships? I run a range of workshops including spinning, peg loom weaving, crochet, knitting (from beginner level, through to far more experienced with Aran, lace and Fair Isle) and bracelet beading.

I also run workshops with an angel or fairy theme – which include oracle card readings, meditations, and crafts, all with a focus on fun and positivity. These are ideal for any sort of celebration including hen parties (Prosecco included!).

Events can be set up to meet your timetable and can be run in my studio, or I can come to you – all equipment and materials are provided within the cost of the event, including tea, coffee, and delicious homemade scones.

Weaving with Nature

What an absolutely lovely morning I had today with three very creative ladies taking part in my ‘Weaving with Nature’ workshop.

We used hand dyed sheep and alpaca fleece, flax, linen yarn, foliage and flowers from our own gardens to make very individual wall hangings, and embellished them with beads and charms. Although I always love what is produced on peg looms, there was something very special about the art we created today. Including nature into the mix really made a little magic happen.

Whilst I don’t have another of these workshops scheduled, I am happy to chat about setting one up if you, and a friend, are interested in having a go!

Lucy Weaves with Nature

Christine who runs the workshops gives people the opportunity to learn new skills, whether it’s peg looming, friendship bracelet making or weaving with nature. The experiences aim to create new skills, build on old and bring with them a sense of well-being and mindfulness too during the process. Connect with nature at Kiri Cottage Crafts.

Lucy went along to the Weaving with Nature course this past April and this is what she had to say about her experience…

“I really enjoyed the Weaving with Nature experience at Kiri Cottage. I had never done anything like it, so it was exciting to try something different. Christine was extremely welcoming and provided delicious homemade scones and cake, as well as tea and coffee. We started off with weaving outside, using all natural materials, this was very interesting and fun. I really liked the fact it was outside as it was a beautiful day which made the whole experience more relaxing. We then went on to complete a mandala, which is similar to a dreamcatcher using all natural materials, such as wool and sticks, I really enjoyed using my creativity for this.
